An armed convoy of armored trucks and a Bradley APC rolling down a dusty Rust road at dusk, headlights on, an attack helicopter overhead

Combat & Events

Convoy

An armed column rolls the roads. Stop it, strip it, and get out before the clock runs down.

Rolls the roads Five tiers by wipe day 60 to 90 minutes on the clock

What it is

A line of armed vehicles drives the map's roads with crates strapped on board. Kill the guards, break the escort, open the crates.

  1. 1

    It rolls

The whole column drives the road network in a fixed order. At the end of its route it turns around and drives back.

  2. 2

    You hit it

The first shot stops the column. Guards climb out and fight on foot. Turrets, SAM sites and the helicopter wake up.

  3. 3

    It holds

While the fight is on, it stays parked. Let it calm down with guards still alive and they climb back in and drive on.

  4. 4

    You loot

Open the crates on the vehicles, plus the Bradley and helicopter crates. Guards drop loot too.

In chat

[Convoy] Hard Convoy is spawned at grid K12

[Convoy] Survivor attacked a convoy

[Convoy] Hard Convoy will be destroyed in 5 minutes!

[Convoy] Hard Convoy has been looted!

Step into the fight and a small panel shows the time left, crates left and guards left.

When it rolls

No schedule to watch. A new convoy spawns on its own at random intervals throughout the day.

Spawn

Chat names the tier and the grid where its route starts. That is your only heads-up.

On the road

It drives its route and back. Find it from the grid or by watching the roads nearby.

Countdown

Chat warns at 5 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds and 5 seconds left.

Gone

When its time runs out, 60 to 90 minutes by tier, or 30 seconds after the last crate is opened.

No map marker, no early warning

Nothing shows on the map and nothing is announced before it spawns. The spawn line in chat is the signal, so keep an eye on chat.

When the clock hits zero, it all goes

Vehicles, crates you did not open, guard bodies you did not loot: everything vanishes at once. Staying nearby does not add time.

Difficulty by wipe day

The older the wipe, the harder the convoy. Each tier rolls during its own window of days, counted from your server's last wipe.

Easy

60 minutes

Wipe day to day 3

Bikes and a sedan, bandit guards.

Medium

60 minutes

Day 1 to day 4

Cars, raiders and the first Bradley.

Hard

60 minutes

Day 3 onward

Armored trucks, snipers, turrets and a helicopter.

Expert

75 minutes

Day 4 onward

Elite crews, Bradleys with SAM sites.

Nightmare

90 minutes

Day 5 onward

Four Bradleys, bosses, a wall of SAM sites.

Windows overlap, so more than one tier can roll on the same day. As the wipe ages the easy ones drop out.

The escort

Every tier is a different column. Here is what can be in it.

Bikes and sidecars

Fast front and rear riders. Sidecars carry a gunner and a crate.

EasyMedium

Sedans

The crate haulers. Several crates on the back seat, guards inside.

EasyMediumHardExpertNightmare

Modular cars

Long cars packed with raiders, and sniper cars with grenade launchers and bolt-action rifles.

MediumHardExpertNightmare

Bradley APCs

Grenade riders on the back. From Expert up, each one carries a SAM site.

MediumHardExpertNightmare

Armored trucks

Three kinds: one carries the loot safe and a minigun boss, one a SAM site and a flamethrower heavy, one a turret nest.

HardExpertNightmare

Attack helicopter

Flies with the column. When the convoy stops it circles overhead and chases, then comes back.

EasyMediumHardExpertNightmare

Fuel crates

Fuel and the bits that go with it.

EasyMedium

Tech parts

Electronic components, on the Medium sidecars.

Medium

Hidden crates

Tucked in the modular and sniper cars. Normal crate loot.

MediumHardExpertNightmare

Good guns and military parts. They open the moment the Bradley dies.

MediumHardExpertNightmare

Helicopter crates

The same as patrol helicopter crates. Open as soon as it goes down.

HardExpertNightmare

Armored truck safe

Normal crate loot on Hard. Helicopter-grade loot on Expert and Nightmare.

HardExpertNightmare

Guards

Scientist loot on Easy and Medium, crate loot on Hard, elite loot on Expert and Nightmare. The Nightmare minigun boss drops Bradley-grade loot.

EasyMediumHardExpertNightmare

Blow up a car, lose some loot

A destroyed vehicle drops its crates as a bag on the ground, and part of the loot is lost. Kill the guards and open the crates instead.

On Terminus, convoy crates and guards use Terminus's own custom loot tables.

Tips

Pick your moment

Guards ignore you until someone opens fire. Get in position on the road ahead, then start the fight on your terms.

Kill the riders first

If the fight calms down with guards alive, they climb back in and the convoy drives off. Clear them out and it stays parked.

Mind the sky

From Hard up, a helicopter and SAM sites join the fight. Bring a launcher for the heli and cover from above.

Watch the clock

Loot as you go. When the timer ends, whatever is still on the vehicles is gone.

Your turrets sit this one out

Your own turrets will not shoot the guards. Bring people, not a turret wall.

Safe zones are safe

Guards leave sleepers and players in safe zones alone. Back off to reset if it goes wrong.

Questions

Which servers run the convoy?

Every Zombie Land server: 3x, Legacy and Terminus. Terminus uses its own custom loot tables for convoy crates and guards.

How do I find it?

Chat names the grid where its route starts when it spawns. There is no map marker, so head there and follow the roads.

How often does it spawn?

At random intervals throughout the day. There is no fixed time, so watch chat for the spawn line.

Why did it drive away mid-fight?

When the shooting stops for a while and guards are still alive, they climb back in and the convoy moves on. Keep the pressure on, or finish the guards.

Why are my rockets doing so little?

Explosives hit convoy guards for less, more so on higher tiers. Gunfire is the way.

My shots are not hurting it. Why?

You are too far away, or you are shooting from a base built high on a rock or tower. Get closer and fight from the ground.

How long do I have?

It depends on the tier, counted from the spawn: 60 minutes on Easy, Medium and Hard, 75 on Expert and 90 on Nightmare. Once the last crate is opened, it ends 30 seconds later.

Convoy runs on every Zombie Land server. Questions? Ask in Discord.
