Patrol Helicopter
Public Vanilla Heli
The vanilla patrol helicopter is enabled on our servers and has all settings as default. When players start attacking it we encourage them to compete for it. There is no "someone stole my heli" on our servers. Competition is encouraged. Once a specific threshold of damage to that heli is breached by one person (or team) the heli because locked to them. No other players can damage it while it is locked. And if they destroy it, the loot and gibs are locked to them too. After a set amount of time of not damaging the locked heli it will revert back to public again so others can finish it off. Locking and unlocking of the heli is announced to global chat.
Heli Signals
We currently run a system of calling your own tier of heli to fight called Heli Signals. These are special supply signals that allow you to call in a fight. To purchase one, simply open up our in game store via /s and click on the Zeds store. Stronger heli signals can be found from a variety of content in game including NPC Raids, Hordes, and from a variety of quests. These signals can be bought or traded with players.

Things you should know about cooldowns:
- Cooldowns only influence when you can throw a signal again, and have nothing to do with fighting a heli
- You can check your current cooldown remaining using /hscooldown in chat
- Everyone that does more than 100 damage to the heli will get a cooldown. This only applies to hard and above heli signals.
- Trying to join the team during the fight or leaving the team before the fight finishes will not circumvent the cooldown
- Cooldowns are applied when the signal is thrown in case you and your team fail to defeat the heli
- The cooldowns are applied again when the heli is destroyed
- Each heli tier (and waves and multi) have different cooldown values that go up based on difficulty
- Any time a cooldown is applied to a player, it first checks to see if they already have a cooldown. If so, it keeps the greater number of the two.
- Cooldowns do persist through server restarts etc.
